ReNew2030 aims to scale wind and solar capacity fivefold by 2030, reducing reliance on fossil fuels in electricity systems to help 1.5°C within reach while strengthening energy security, supporting jobs, and improving health and economic outcomes.
We focus on wind and solar because they are proven, cost-competitive technologies that scale quickly. They are central to expanding renewable power and reducing the backbone of any credible clean energy transition: cost‑effective, zero‑emissions, endlessly available, and able to scale fast enough to displace coal and prevent new gas build‑out.
Our coalition is designed to accelerate this shift by removing systemic barriers and enabling faster, larger-scale renewable deployment.
We recognise that transforming the global power sector cannot be achieved by any single organisation or country alone. That’s why we convene partners across borders – connecting strategy, expertise and action to support practical solutions that can move now.
By supporting regional and national actors in high‑emission regions, we pair local ownership with international coordination to align global ambition with on‑the‑ground realities and unlock.
With this support, we create a space where ideas are tested, shared, and adapted, and where peer learning accelerates renewables deployment, yielding locally led results that are globally shared.
